Bryan and Rachel’s photoshoot on their family ranch was the perfect location for their Bay Area, California engagement photos. This engagement session was definitely one for the books and in order to make it happen, we used the following 4 tips to make the best of their session!
1. Plan ahead on your outfits… both of them!
Planning ahead on outfits is essential. Especially if you’re wanting to pull off a specific theme with ease. This particular engagement photoshoot was country glam and the outfits that were put together are perfect! Making sure your outfits are coordinated makes a huge difference in whether or not your photos look put together.
2. Bring something to your engagement photoshoot that means a lot to you.
For Rachel, this meant her horses and for Bryan, that meant his pup! When you have something that’s such a significant a part of your life, incorporate it into your engagement session! There’s really no reason not to. If it’s special to you now, odds are, it will be special to you later.
3. Choose a location that’s sentimental to you
This photoshoot happened on the very ranch that Bryan and Rachel got engaged, and it’s a place they spend a lot of their time. The amount of love they had for the location was evident throughout the photoshoot. This allowed for the couple to feel relaxed and comfortable for their Bay Area, California engagement photos.
4. Have fun and be yourselves!
Showing up and being yourself is one of the best ways to make your photos authentic and real. Your engagement session should feel like you! You can ask for your photographer to bring music, or you can bring music yourself. Don’t be afraid to show affection. MOVE. Seriously. Movement is the best way to make your photos look authentic!
