When Saumil came to me wanting photos at Lover’s Lane, I was so excited! This was my first time shooting there and I knew it would be fun! Lover’s Lane is such an iconic place to photograph in the city, and what better place to photograph two people in love than Lover’s Lane!?

Tucked away in the heart of San Francisco’s Presidio, Lover’s Lane is a magical escape for couples seeking a romantic and serene setting. It’s no wonder this historic pathway has become one of the city’s most beloved spots for engagement sessions.

Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing a beautiful couple at this iconic location. Lover’s Lane, with its dreamy canopy of eucalyptus trees and the meandering Wood Line art installation by Andy Goldsworthy, provided a stunning natural backdrop for their photos. The golden sunlight streaming through the trees added a soft glow to the session, creating images that feel as timeless as the love they share.

We started our session at the beginning of the trail, where the rustic wooden footpath invites you into the forest. As we strolled deeper into the lane, the couple shared laughter, exchanged sweet glances, and embraced amidst the tall, swaying trees. The Wood Line, with its elegant curves weaving through the forest floor, offered a playful and artistic element to their portraits… and Saumil proposed during the photoshoot! It was truly something to remember!

What I love most about Lover’s Lane is how it combines intimacy with nature’s grandeur. Every corner feels like a private moment waiting to be captured.
